    Sony Ericsson C902

Camera phone lovers, brace yourself! The Sony Ericsson C902 is here to stay at Telecom 3. The ‘C’ is the newer range of the Cyber-Shot series which replaced the ‘K’ series. As everyone knows, the Cyber-Shot range of phones have been very successful and this phone lives up to our expectations. The phone comes to us in candy bar form, at a very slim 10.5mm, keypad and navigation buttons have gone back to classic design of being blocky keys which make them easy to pressand the model comes in black or red metallic finish. The side of the screen contains buttons to activate between still and video, enable autofocus, flash and other camera settings. The screen however, due to all these included shortcuts, is 2 inches but still has the same resolution as most other mobiles (240×320 with 256k colours) with a bright and sharp display and the device weighs in at 107grams.

The main feature is of course, the camera. It is concealed beneath a mini sliding cover. When you slide the cover open, the phone enables camera mode. The camera is, as stated earlier with the side buttons has autofocus and flash. The autofocus function has face-detection software which automatically focuses on the face of a picture. Image stabaliser software to minimise blur in low lighting areas, BestPic feature which can automatically take 9 pictures in a second to allow the user to choose the best picture out of the 9, Accelerometer senses which way up the photo is being held and will automatically rotate your pictures into portrait or landscape mode.

3G connection enabled (HSDPA) network enabled for the phone to make video calls. A new ‘Storyteller’ application lets you create presentation from the pictures and dynamically upload them onto social networks such as Bebo/Facebook. The media player is fully featured, includes Sony’s MegaBass for spetacular sound quality, PlayNow feature lets you personalise your phone by downloading a MP3 ringtone and/or use MP3/AC ringtones you transfer onto your phone. TrackID recognition to identify a song by holding your phone near the source, FM radio, can use your own stereo headset or use an optional Bluetooth stereo headset, large 160mb of internal memory which can expand up to 4gb via Memory Stick Micro to store up to 1,000 music tracks, USB and Bluetooth connectivity to transfer music, images between phone and PC via the simplicity of Drag and Drop.

This phone as fantastic as camera phones go, for more information, contact our Telecom 3 sales team.

This ‘C’ series dropped the use of the Xenon flash that was a part of the ‘K’ series, gone back to blocky keypad and seperated navigation buttons away from the keypad to avoid pressing other keypad buttons.
